Recently Events at GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow organized. Rakshabandhan or Rakhi is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between brother and sister which is one of the deepest and novelist of all human emotions. The festival of Raksha Bandhan not only celebrates the love and duty between the brothers and sisters, but it also has social significance. It underlines the notion that everybody should live in her harmony. On this day sisters tie Rakhi on their brother’s wrist wishing them long life and good health and in return the brother pledge to protect her sister from any harm thereby expressing love care and joy among themselves.

The beautiful festival of Rakshabandhan was celebrated in the pre-primary Wings of GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, in order to help our student learn and understand the cultural significance of the festival. The day started with great zeal and excitement students from pre-primary sections sang songs and rhymes dedicated to the bond of love between brother and sisters. The students from Toddler to Nursery participated enthusiastically in the ‘Rakhi Making’ activity of the pious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

All the learners made attractive rakhis and presented their self made Rakhi beautifully. Students of Kindergarten decorated Pooja Thali, whereas students of grade 1 and 2 make beautiful rakhi cards and wrote the heartfelt message for their brothers and sisters inside the card. Each one took home a memory in the form of a rakhi or card, and expressions of the bond between classmates.
