GD Goenka Public School Lucknow Bids ADIEU to Its Class XII Batch Of 2024-25:-
Anushka Singh Crowned as Miss Goenka and Abid Hussain as Mr Goenka
On the 6th of February, GD Goenka Public School, Shaheed Path Lucknow was a sight to behold as the outgoing batch of XII class students arrived for the most awaited event of the year ‘Farewell 24-25’. The campus was a riot of colors as the XII class students arrived dressed in their best. The students of Grade XI and all the Goenkan teachers came together to bid farewell to the outgoing class XII Batch of 2024-25.
It was a morning of mixed emotions for all present in the school as they witnessed the official send-off of the class XII students at the Farewell Ceremony. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers reminiscing the joyous moments of the past. Students of Class XI organized the farewell party with great enthusiasm and of course, endeavoured to leave a trail of nostalgia behind for their seniors. The young ladies were a sight to behold in their colorful saris whereas the gentlemen carried themselves stylishly in tuxedos and suits. Elegantly dressed, the outgoing students entered the school premises and were well received by the juniors with a Roli Teeka.
The event began with a welcome address to all present this was followed by the first round of the ramp walk. The was followed by the Groove show and the stand-up set put up by the juniors that had everyone in splits. This was followed by the principal’s address. The principal, Dr. Prerna Mitra addressed the students and asked them to carry forward the legacy of the school by excelling in their field of choice.
Next was the dance presentation by the XI students that had everyone tapping their feet. Thereafter the shortlisted XII students walked the final round of the ramp as part of the contest for the titles to be won. The shortlisted candidates answered the questions asked by the judges
The CCO, Ms Nandini Goel addressed the outgoing batch and asked them to remain connected with their Alma Mater. This was followed by the Last Beat and the Lunch.
Thereafter the results of the Ramp Walk were announced. Anushka Singh was declared as Ms Goenka and Abid Hussain was declared Mr Goenka
Devasya Agarwal was declared Best Dressed Male and Akansha Chaturvedi Best Dressed Female. Ananya Prakash was Ms Congeniality and Akarsh Nigam was Mr. Congeniality. Arya Tripathi was given the title of Ms. Vertuoso, Lorik Yadav was Mr. Virtuoso and Ms. Frolicator was Mahi Mishra, and Mr. Frolicator was Arjun Kewlani.
This was followed by the cake-cutting ceremony after which all the students shook their legs together. Hugging and greeting everyone, some sensitive ones even shed a few tears as this was the last day of their school life. It is surely a journey that was the stepping stone to their journey ahead.GDGPS Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra and the teachers wished the students good luck for their future endeavours and their upcoming examinations.
