CBSE SAHODAY SCHOOLS’ COMPLEX ORGANISED A STUDENT FELICITATION CEREMONY

The eighth day of September witnessed the felicitation ceremony of the meritorious students who had topped the CBSE class X & XII Board Examination Session 2021-2022.
A day of honour, a day of appreciation, a day of encouragement and motivation! It was the day of felicitation of the stars for their outstanding performance in classes X & XII. It was an honour for GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow to host this glorious event in collaboration with CBSE Sahodaya, Lucknow. In the year 1986, the Board came up with the concept of ‘SAHODAYA’ literally meaning ‘rising together’ to facilitate the synergy of ideas among the schools of CBSE, for excellence in education.
A total of 70 schools participated in the ceremony and over 135 students were felicitated in the ceremony organised on 08 September 2022.
The felicitation ceremony was graced by the presence of Lt Gen Vivek Kashyap, AVSM, VSM, as Chief Guest. Dr. Jawaid Alam Khan Chairperson Lucknow Sahodaya and CBSE City Coordinator honoured the chief guest with a bouquet. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp as a tribute to Maa Saraswati the goddess of knowledge. The Saraswati Vandana complimented the spirit of the ceremony.
Thereafter, the chief guest Lt Gen Vivek Kashyap felicitated the students by giving away the trophies and certificates. On this occasion, he addressed the august gathering motivating the students to keep themselves focused and strive towards their goals with sheer determination and hard work. He also encouraged the students to follow their passion. Our school Chairman, Mr. Sarvesh Goel also encouraged the students to achieve ‘Higher, Stronger and Brighter’ goals as is the motto of our school.
The presence of the members of the core committee CBSE Sahodaya, Lucknow Ms. B. Singh Secretary Lucknow Sahodaya, Mr. Sudhir Halwasiya Chairman Navayuga Radiance Senior Secondary School, Dr. Prerna Mitra Principal GD Goenka, and other principals of the schools, made the occasion more momentous.
A number of teachers from various renowned schools joined in the celebration. The proud parents who witnessed the ceremony were overjoyed to see their wards being felicitated on this grand platform.
A scintillating dance performance by students of Lucknow Public Collegiate added color and vibrance to the programme. The choir from GD Goenka, Lucknow also added melody to the event by singing a medley of songs at the culmination of the ceremony. This programme ended with High Tea for the dignitaries, parents, and students.
