GD Goenka Public School celebrated Friendship Day on August 3, with Pre-nursery to Grade II students participating in a variety of inclusive activities that emphasized the importance of friendship. The day began with a special performance by LKG students, followed by an address from Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra on the significance of the day.
Pre-nursery children crafted unique friendship bands and exchanged them with their friends, while Kindergarten students created a “Friendship Tree” using their handprints to symbolize unity and teamwork. Upper Kindergarten students engaged in a matching picture cards game to strengthen bonds among themselves. Grade I and II students collaborated on crafting friendship flowers and flower pots, sharing kind words about their friends in the process.
The event was filled with joy and affection, promoting a strong sense of community and togetherness among the young Goenkans.
