Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations @ GD Goenka Public School Lucknow
Festivals serve as a vibrant tapestry of our rich cultural heritage, offering moments to celebrate profound emotions and timeless traditions. They bind communities, break the monotony of daily life, and rejuvenate the soul. Embodying the essence of festivity, GD Goenka Public School Lucknow celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with unparalleled zeal on 9 September 2024.
The celebration commenced with a sanctified pooja, during which the Chairperson and the Principal reverently offered flowers to Lord Ganesha, followed by an aarti that filled the air with the resounding echoes of “Ganpati Bappa Morya!”
In their respective classes, the youngest learners, from Toddlers to Nursery, meticulously crafted exquisite clay idols of Lord Ganesha, embodying the spirit of eco-friendly festivities. LKG students expressed their creativity by shaping Lord Ganesha figures on A4 sheets with clay, while UKG students fashioned playdough Mushaks. The students of Grades 1 and 2 showcased their artistry by sculpting intricate 3D representations of Ganesha from playdough. The celebrations were further enriched with discussions about the numerous names of Lord Ganesha, and a captivating short story on the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi was shared with the students.
This festival not only awakened a sense of devotion but also nurtured creativity, deepened understanding, and fostered an enriching learning experience among the children.
