GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow radiated joy, colour, and devotion as students celebrated the auspicious festival of Janmashtami, commemorating the birth of Lord Krishna. The entire campus came alive with vibrant decorations, including buntings, flowers, and images of Krishna, setting the perfect festive mood.
The celebration began with creative art and craft activities, where children expressed their devotion through handmade pieces. Nursery and toddler groups crafted bright paper crowns, symbolising Krishna’s mukut, while LKG students created peacock feathers, reflecting Krishna’s playful charm. UKG children designed ornate bandhanwaars, adding a festive sparkle to the décor.
Class I students showcased their artistic flair by decorating matkis with paint, glitter, and embellishments, while Class II students made paper flutes, Krishna’s beloved instrument, adding a musical note to the celebration.
The festive spirit then moved to the school auditorium, where the atmosphere turned lively and devotional. Children presented soulful performances that beautifully captured Krishna’s innocence. Nursery students won hearts with their adorable dance on “Aao Natkhat Nandlala”, while others showcased energetic performances like “Hurrru”.
