On 14th October, the students of Classes XI and XII from GD Goenka School Lucknow, embarked on an educational field trip to the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. The visit aimed to provide students with valuable exposure to the world of higher education, management studies, and campus life at one of India’s most prestigious institutions.
Upon arrival, the students received a warm welcome from the faculty and student coordinators of IIM Lucknow. The program commenced with an interactive orientation session, introducing the institute’s rich history, vision, and diverse academic offerings. A highlight of the day was an inspiring address by Prof. Prerna Sharma, who shared her insights on leadership, innovation, management, and entrepreneurship, leaving students deeply motivated.
This was followed by a guided campus tour, where students explored key facilities such as the library, lecture halls, research centers, and residential hostels. The lush green campus, combined with state-of-the-art infrastructure, made a lasting impression on all. Later, students attended a motivational session by a faculty member Professor Uppal who emphasized goal setting, time management, and critical thinking as essential skills for personal and academic success.
The visit proved to be both informative and inspiring, broadening students’ understanding of career opportunities in management and business studies. It also encouraged them to pursue their ambitions with renewed focus and determination. The day concluded with a group photograph and a vote of thanks to the IIM Lucknow team for their gracious hospitality.
Overall, it was a memorable and enriching experience, seamlessly blending learning with real-world exposure to higher academic pursuits.
