GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, successfully conducted a GD Goenka’s Stationery Donation Drive on August 30, organized by the school’s Community Service Club. The initiative, which involved students from Classes VI to XII, aimed to collect and distribute essential stationery items to underprivileged students in the community. The drive focused on promoting the values of compassion, generosity, and community service among students, highlighting GD Goenka’s commitment to social responsibility.
The preparations for the GD Goenka’s Stationery Donation Drive began a month in advance. The school coordinated efforts with teachers, parents, and local businesses to gather donations. Students were encouraged to bring new or gently used items such as notebooks, pencils, erasers, rulers, and other educational materials. These items were then packed into individual kits, each containing a variety of essential stationery products.
The collected kits were distributed to local schools and orphanages identified by the Community Service Club. The event was a success, not only in terms of the number of items collected but also in fostering a sense of collective effort among students. The donation drive demonstrated the power of unity and the importance of giving back to the community.
GD Goenka Public School plans to organize such donation drives more frequently in the future, aiming to reach more underprivileged students and make a lasting impact.
