The much-awaited GDGPS Sports Fest 2025 concluded on a grand note on 21 August 2025. The four days sporting event (from 18 – 21 August 2025) celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence. Held at the GD Goenka Public School, Sushant Golf City campus, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 26 reputed schools across the city, competing in sports including swimming, basketball, football, and chess.
The closing ceremony was graced by the esteemed Chairman of the School, Mr. Sarvesh Goel, as the Chief Guest, along with the Principal, Dr. Prerna Mitra, who played a pivotal role in organizing the fest. Their presence greatly encouraged and motivated the young athletes.
Over the course of the fest, students showcased exceptional talent and determination. The sporting events were conducted with fairness and discipline, reflecting the high standards maintained by GD Goenka School Lucknow. In addition to sports, the closing day featured vibrant cultural performances by students, adding colour and energy to the celebration.
Winners across various categories were honoured with medals, trophies, and certificates, recognizing their hard work and commitment. The audience, comprising students, teachers, coaches and referees, cheered with pride and joy.
St Dominic College, City Montessori School Aliganj Cambridge branch and Delhi Public School Indira Nagar won Gold in Chess.
In Football, AR Jaipuria School was the winner and GD Goenka School was runner-up.
In Basketball, Delhi Public School Eldeco branch won Gold while GD Goenka School settled for Silver medal.
In Swimming, MR Jaipuria School emerged winner.
In his congratulatory address, Mr. Sarvesh Goel applauded the participants and praised the organizing committee for the smooth execution of the event. He emphasized the importance of sports in building character, resilience, and leadership skills among students.
The Sports Fest 2025 concluded with the lowering of the school flag and the national anthem, marking the end of a memorable event that celebrated youthful energy, competitive spirit, and unity through sports.
