Goenkans World Record
Goenkans World Record, create a history for conducting a ‘DNA isolation’ experiment simultaneously. From the age group 13-17 years, these students have registered the school’s name in the Guinness Book of World Records breaking the previous record set by 302 children of the Seattle Children’s Research Institute, Washington, USA, for a duration of 90 minutes.
USA students conducted the DNA isolation on a papaya fruit while GD Goenka school students conducted it on a banana, for more than 90 minutes, to break the record. There was a ‘Mock Training Session’ organized in the school on 4th October to address the requirement of prior orientation and practice.
