Grandparents Celebration:

Grandparents Celebration are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, and wonderful stories. They are the child’s link to the past and the grandchildren are their link to the future. This is a unique relationship that binds them together and so G D Goenka Public School, Lucknow, celebrated Grandparents’ Day.The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by Shiv Stuti presented by the little stars of Kindergarten.

The little stars from KG unfolded the celebration with a welcome song, followed by an enthralling dance performance by the Nursery students. Children from Grade 1 presented a dance performance. The songs reverberated the rhythmic side of our adorable old folk as we could see them tapping their feet to the music.

Those sweet, amusing expressions were something to watch out for!! Next were the students of grade II who recited a poem for their grandparents thanking them for their time, love and care unfettered by schedules, routines or commitments. Children thanked them for their warm heart to which they naturally gravitate for the companionship grandparents provide. After this the grandparents proceeded for the fun filled activities. It was wonderful to see grandchildren and grandparents making rangolis, shopping bags, photo frames. They also enjoyed getting colourful tattoos done, pictures clicked at the selfie corner, playing games, solving puzzles. We witnessed the grandparents reliving their childhood. Chairman, Mr. Sarvesh Goel, thanked the grandparents for imbibing the right values and all the love and attention the kids get from them.
