Holi is Celebrated:-
Holi is Celebrated in its true essence at GD Goenka Public School. Holi is known as the festival of colours. We all wait for it eagerly every year to play with colours and have delectable dishes. Holi is about celebrating happiness with friends and family. Holi is called the festival of colours because people play with colours and apply them to each other’s faces to get coloured in the essence of the festival. It signifies the coming of spring and harvest season in the country.
To mark this special day GD Goenka Public School Lucknow organized activities for pre-primary children from Grade Pre nursery to Grade 2 on Friday 03 March 2023. The school was decorated beautifully and there was a spirit of festivity all around.
Little Goenkans of Classes Pre- Nursery to Grade 2 played Holi with flower petals. A selfie corner was placed for clicking nice and colourful pictures. Children have explained the importance of Holi through an online resources. Our little Tiny tots from toddlers to kindergarten came dressed up in colour dresses, grooved their feet on Holi songs and also ate their favourite snacks along with Gujhiyas. Children of Grade 1 made Gujhiyas with the help of playdough and moulds which developed their motor skills and also learned how to make Gujhiyas and help their parents at home. Children of Grade 2 bought an old light colour t-shirt for hand printing and splashing of colours onto them and wrote Holi messages which could also be used at home to play Holi. Their enthusiasm was worth observing and everyone drowned in the fun and frolic of this colourful and spirited festival.
