Ice Cream Day and Solo Dance Competition:

Recently Ice Cream Day and Solo Dance Competition at GD Goenka  Public School, Lucknow. Grabbing a delicious ice cream cone is the most refreshing thing to do in this warm weather. Summers are the best time to eat ice cream. Little Goenkan had their fair share of fun and floric on July 12, with an ice cream day celebration in the school.
The students were welcomed by placards all over the school campus reading the flavors of the ice creams and phrases like ‘I am frozen… You like me chilled’. It kept their curiosity meter high. A dance party was an added attraction and amidst the foot-tapping music and dancing, feet entered the ice cream man with his card.

The ice cream counter was specially created for our little Goenkan, where they excitedly choose the flavors they wished to eat. The student relished each and every scoop of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice creams. Eating in those sugary cones delighted the children and ice cream dripping smiles was a sight to see. Everyone including the teachers immensely enjoyed there treat.

The lively and fulfilled environment was a refreshing change for the students. Later, each grade competently made ‘ice Cream day’ crafts. The overjoyed toddlers colored the pictures of the ice cream, Pre-nursery students made ice cream cards, Students of the nursery kid crate their own ice cream using play dough. Kindergarteners did teamwork by tearing and pasting colorful papers and decorating a large ice cream cut-out together.

Students of a grade 1 wrote adjectives and icecreams cutout. Grade 2 students were shown a video on how to prepare homemade ice cream and then they colored ice cream and also panned their joyful experience in brief. The day ended on a sweet note with each little Goenkan savoring the teste of their favorite ice-cream.
