GD GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL ORGANISED ‘AN INTER-HOUSE ACTIVITY IKEBANA’:-
The Ikebana event took place on Wednesday, 20Oct’21 in Best CBSE GD Goenka Public School as an Inter House Activity. Ikebana which is a Japanese art of flower arrangement gave an opportunity to the students to be fully immersed in a Japanese environment to develop their creativity. They learned about the history of this floral art, its complexities, and how it became an engagement for life for many people. The students got to know that In contrast to the western habits of casually placing flowers in a vase, Ikebana aims to bring out the inner qualities of flowers and other live materials and express emotion. It required patience and agility.
The students fully apprehended during the practice that whatever they make, it can turn into something aesthetic and beautiful. The Ikebana event unites people from all around the world. Using sparkling balls, beautiful flowers and presenting it with a beautiful quote held as a crowning stroke to showcase their masterpiece. The students enjoyed the activity and also admired the work of other participants.
