Innovation Bootcamp:
The world needs creative ideas and innovation to solve the most difficult challenges it faces today. All of us have a responsibility to make a collective effort and do our bit in addressing these. GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, and JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur, are pleased to share with you the Innovation Bootcamp, a one-of-a-kind platform where school students can create a difference and demonstrate leadership by harnessing their energy, imagination, and initiative with the support of University’s expertise and resources. This Bootcamp is being organized in association with Vigyan Bharati Rajasthan.
The Bootcamp is open to students of Classes XI and XII and their teachers. It is also an opportunity for the school to provide the students and teachers the exposure to concepts like design thinking and help them become real-life problem solvers – a skill which they will value for the rest of their lives. The 21st-century skills covered during the Bootcamp that will help your students and teachers become innovators are:
1. Design thinking
2. Critical thinking
3. Artificial intelligence
4. Internet of things
During the Innovation Bootcamp, we will be using hands-on activities and close discussion sessions to make students understand the utilization and implication of these concepts. The students will be able to build a prototype version of the idea that they will generate in this camp itself. The best ideas with successful prototype will be awarded a trophy and will be entitled to a wild-card entry in the JKLU Innovation Challenge.
The Innovation Bootcamp is a part of the Innovation Challenge that has received the terrific response as both educators and students see the value of learning something new and use their education to contribute innovative ideas that can help achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Students, teachers, and schools participating in the JKLU Innovation Challenge stand a chance to win attractive prizes, get to learn the principles of Design thinking and its application, refine and prototype their ideas in the JKLU Innovation Bootcamp with experts, and receive national recognition from an eminent jury of experts, academics and industry leaders.
JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU), Jaipur which is part of the Atal Incubation Mission of Government of India, will also offer the opportunity to incubate outstanding ideas even beyond the challenge.
