Investiture Ceremony & Felicitation Of Meritorious at GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow:-
“Leadership is not about the next election it is about the next generation”
GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow entrusted reliance and confidence in the new Student Council, for the session 2020-21 through the Investiture Ceremony held on 17 December 2020, in the school premises. GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow firmly believes that leadership is a quality that is nurtured and its seeds are sown during the early years of childhood in the enriching soil of one’s school. Along with it the Class X and XII students who achieved 90% and more in CBSE Board Examinations 2020 were felicitated. The ceremony was presided over by the honourable Chief Guest Shri Dr. Mahendra Singh, Jal Shakti Minister in Uttar Pradesh Government.
The programme commenced with the school song sung spiritedly by the school choir. The Chief Guest, Dr. Mahendra gave away trophies and certificates to the meritorious students of Class XII and X. The recipients were pleased by the recognition of their efforts and achievements.
The Chief Guest congratulated the achievers and admonished them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties and spread sunlight wherever they go. He said that knowledge is like a beacon that helps to dispel the darkness of ignorance. He commended the Chairman for his service to humanity through his vision in the form of an institution like GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow. He advised them to make the best of their time, prioritizing their work, and be role models for others to follow. Next was the investiture ceremony. Pande decorated the badges on the students who were named the council members. The newly elected leaders were then administered the oath of office by the Principal. The student council members took the pledge to uphold the school motto of ‘Higher, Stronger, Brighter’ with full earnestness. The Head Girl, Hina Naela and the Head Boy, Aarav Tripathi expressed their gratitude to the school authorities for bestowing trust in them.
In his address, the Chairperson, Mr. Sarvesh Goel, warmly congratulated the newly elected members of the Student Council and their parents. The Chairman shared his strong conviction that all the office-bearer’s would-be custodians of the school’s special ethos and prove worthy of carrying this lofty responsibility to fruition. He appreciated each student’s hard work and passion that they showed even in this pandemic. He asked them to continue to do their best and strive to be the Sun wherever it is dark. The ceremony drew to a close with the singing of the national anthem. The Investiture ceremony instilled a sense of duty and responsibility in all the students to take the name of their school to new and bigger heights.
