GD Goenka Public School Investiture Ceremony 2024-25 Cultivating Leaders Of Tomorrow:-
ANUSHKA SINGH AND SYED ABID HUSSAIN ELECTED AS HEAD GIRL & HEAD BOY
GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow firmly believes that leadership is a quality that is nurtured and its seeds are sown during the early years of childhood in the enriching soil of one’s school. GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow entrusted reliance and confidence in the new Student Council, for the session 2024-25 through the Investiture Ceremony 2024-2025 held on 10 May 2024 in the school premises. It was a momentous occasion where newly elected student councils were bestowed with their respective titles and positions giving them a platform to recognize their potential and commitment to uphold the school’s values and responsibilities.
The ceremony was presided over by the honorable Chief Guest Col Puneet Srivastava, CO 67 UP Battalion, an alumnus of IMA. Lt Col Kamala Bishnoi also attended the event as a Guest of Honour. The event was graced by the presence of the Chairman Mr. Sarvesh Goel, CCO Ms Lalita Goel, and the Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra.
The programme commenced with the school song sung spiritedly by the school choir which captivated the audience, setting the tone for the day.
Next was the Investiture Ceremony. Chief Guest, Col Puneet Srivastava, the Chairman, Principal, and CCO conferred the badges on the students who were named the Council Members. Syed Abid Hussain and Anushka Singh were conferred with the badges of Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. Neil Kalra and Nayansri were pinned with the badge of Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl respectively.
Vihaan Hitendra Thaccker and Prakhya Agarwal were decorated with the badges of Junior Head Boy and Junior Head Girl respectively. Audvik Singh Chauhan and Saanvi Tiwari were conferred with the badges of Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl Junior Section respectively. One by one, the proud recipients donned their badges, a symbol of their authority and commitment to the school’s values. The oath was administered to the newly appointed Student Council by the Principal, Dr. Prerna Mitra to uphold the school’s values, maintain discipline, and serve as a role model for their peers.
The Chief Guest addressed the audience and commended the Chairman for his service to humanity through his vision in the form of an institution like GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow. He addressed the members of the Student Council and told them to become true leaders by working in such a way so as to leave an indelible mark. He advised them to do a good deed every day and face all challenges and obstacles in order to shape their characters, make the best use of their time, prioritize their work, and be a role model for others to follow. A memento was presented to the Chief Guest by the Chairman as a token of gratitude.
After the pinning of badges, the newly formed Student Council and the dignitaries captured the moment.
In his address, the Chairman, Mr. Sarvesh Goel, warmly congratulated the newly elected members of the Student Council and their parents. He asked the newly elected council to inspire their junior by their example. He addressed the newly elected council and told them that it was an important day in their lives and they had been given the opportunity to lead the other students based on their past records in school. He gave the example of an army for integrity and discipline to all the Council members. The Chairman shared his strong conviction that all the office-bearers would be custodians of the school’s special ethos and prove worthy of carrying this lofty responsibility to fruition.
Following the Chairman’s address, the Head Girl addressed the students and expressed her gratitude to the school authorities for bestowing trust in her. She spoke about all the growth opportunities that the school has given to her since the time she joined the school and the responsibilities that have been carried out by the School Council in organizing various school events in the past year.
The Head Boy Syed Abid Hussain delivered the Vote of Thanks. The ceremony drew to a close with the singing of the National Anthem.
