Nayansri and Neil Kalra Conferred the Prestigious Titles of Head Girl and Head Boy
At GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, the ethos of leadership is intricately woven into the fabric of education. Believing that the seeds of responsibility and stewardship must be sown early, the school hosted its much-anticipated Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2025–26 on 3rd May 2025, within the resplendent premises of the institution.
This ceremonious event stood as a testament to the school’s enduring commitment to fostering visionary leaders, who not only lead with confidence but serve with integrity. The occasion was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Brigadier Pankaj Kaushik, whose dignified bearing added gravitas to the proceedings, and Guest of Honour Ms Bindu Sharma, wife of Brig. Pankaj Kaushik, whose presence was equally cherished. Also in attendance were the esteemed Chairman of GD Goenka School Lucknow, Mr. Sarvesh Goel, Director Ms. Lalita Goel, Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra, Chief Coordinating Officer Ms. Nandini Goel, revered Trustee Members, Mahanagar Director Ms. Neha Goel, and Headmistress Ms. Shelly Dawara—each a pillar of strength in the school’s journey of excellence.
The most poignant moment of the event unfolded as the newly elected Student Council Members stepped forward with pride and promise. The ceremonial pinning of badges by the dignitaries was more than a symbolic act; it marked the dawn of new responsibilities. Neil Kalra was bestowed the honour of Head Boy, while Nayansri received the prestigious title of Head Girl. Aarav Goel and Samantha S. Mathai were appointed as Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl, respectively. In the Junior Student Council, Aayansh Kejriwal and Vansini Singh were elected as Junior Head Prefects.
Clad in their sashes and adorned with badges that gleamed like beacons of trust, each council member stood tall, embodying the spirit of leadership and commitment. The oath of office, solemnly administered by Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra, echoed through the air—an earnest pledge to uphold the school’s ideals, foster harmony, and lead by the finest example.
In his address, Brig. Kaushik delivered an inspiring speech, urging the council to embrace their roles with humility and wisdom. He spoke of the nobility of service, encouraging students to perform small acts of kindness daily, to rise resiliently in the face of challenges, and to serve as bridges between their peers and mentors. His words, rich in guidance and grace, resonated deeply with the audience. A token of heartfelt appreciation—a beautifully crafted memento—was presented to him by the Chairman, in acknowledgment of his gracious presence.
The momentous ceremony was further immortalized through a group photograph featuring the dignitaries and the Student Council—a snapshot of leadership, unity, and hope.
Chairman Mr. Sarvesh Goel, in his heartfelt address, extended warm felicitations to the newly elected leaders and their families. He reminded the students of the sacred responsibility entrusted to them—not merely to govern but to inspire. His message was clear: to honour the school’s legacy with unwavering integrity and to be torchbearers of excellence and empathy.
The newly appointed Head Girl, Nayansri, eloquently expressed her gratitude for the trust reposed in her by the school. She reflected upon her transformative journey at GD Goenka, acknowledging the opportunities that shaped her into the individual she is today. Her words were both touching and inspiring.
Head Boy Neil Kalra, poised and articulate, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to all dignitaries, educators, and peers whose support had illuminated their paths.
