GD GOENKA STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THE VALUE OF NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY:-
National Energy Conservation Day is observed on 14 December to spread awareness about the importance of energy and the need of conserving energy by using less energy.
To make the children understand to avoid the unnecessary use of energy and to use the least energy so that energy sources can be saved for future use, this day was celebrated in GD Goenka Public School on 14th December 2022. They explained the ways by which we can save energy and what energy conservation plans we can adopt in our day-to-day life. With the help of a chart, they were explained the do’s and don’ts of energy conservation.
The children of Pre-Nursery to KG were made monitors in the class and were given badges on a rotational basis. They were made incharge of things like switching off the lights before going out of the class, making sure that the taps are closed when not in use, and no garbage is thrown on the floor in the class. A poster-making competition on the topic ‘Save Energy’ was held in Grades 1 and 2.
The children participated wholeheartedly and it was an enriching learning experience for them.
