GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam with great enthusiasm on Wednesday. The festivities began with Grade I students performing a traditional dance during the morning assembly, setting the tone for the cultural celebration.
The highlight of the event was a mesmerizing classical dance performance showcasing Kerala’s rich cultural heritage. Students from all grades actively participated in various Onam-related activities, each class contributing uniquely to the festive spirit.
Toddlers and nursery students decorated beautiful rangolis using mango leaves and flowers, enhancing the festive atmosphere. To complete the celebration, the school cafeteria served a traditional Kerala feast, featuring popular dishes like idli and sambar, offering students a true taste of Kerala’s culture.
