Orientation Program:

G. D. Goenka Public School, Lucknow organized an orientation program on 3rd April 2018 for the parents of children who’ll be joining us this year. The aim of the program was to familiarize the parents with the curriculum, rules, and regulation of the school, teaching methodologies, and the co-scholastic activities.

The aim of the programme was to make the new parents aware of the work culture and atmosphere of the school, to give insight into the school curriculum, the pattern of conducting assessments, the co-curricular activities held in the school and also to seek support of the parents in the school’s vision of wholesome development of the children. The parents were received by the teachers and welcome cards were presented to them. The chairman of the school, Mr.Sarvesh Goel also addressed the parents and the chief guest of the function Dr. Mahendra Singh, National leader of BJP government, & MLC and an educationist who inaugurated the function by lighting a lamp and also addressed the gathering. It was followed by a short documentary about the school.

The Principal of the school, Mrs.Raveen Pande also addressed the parents after which an ice-breaking session on the topic “School Vision” was held with the parents, conducted by Mrs.Sonia Mathai. The last part of the programme was an interaction of the parents with the respective class teachers. Each class had a PPT presentation for the parents through which more information and understanding of the functioning of the school was given. The event ended with High Tea for all. The programme was highly appreciated by the parents and was successful in establishing a positive association for co-operation between the parents, teachers, and students from the very beginning of the school year.
