Orientation Programme:-
The Orientation Programme provides students & their families the opportunity to build a connection with the school. We at top CBSE GD Goenka School in Lucknow, believe that once someone joins this institution, they become family. Thus, to welcome families and cultivate relationships with them, this orientation programme is organized every year at the start of the new academic session in April.
This year the Parent Orientation was held on Saturday, 2nd April 2022. The campus of the best school in Lucknow city buzzed with excitement as a large number of students and anxious parents eagerly joined the orientation session scheduled in the school auditorium. The programme helped them to understand how best we can work together to help each child achieve the motto of GD Goenka – ‘HIGHER….STRONGER….BRIGHTER.’
The programme started by lighting the lamp. This was followed by Saraswati Vandana to give thanks to the Almighty. Later the Principal acquainted the audience with the school’s achievements & activities.
It was communicated to the parents that our aim – ‘Excellence in Education’ – is to provide students with sound education which is rare to come by these days. This mission has reached great heights of success due to the detailed execution of plans by an excellent team of qualified and experienced teachers.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Amrita Dass, a leading Educationist and a Career-Consultant of the country, addressed the august gathering and talked about the role a school plays in the life of a child.
This was followed by an ice-breaking activity on life skills terminology. The Chairman, Mr. Sarvesh Goel addressed the audience and shared his dream and vision of taking the school to the pinnacle of success. The parents were inducted by the school faculty into the designated classrooms for class-specific presentations and were escorted through the school corridors for a glance at the school infrastructure.
Parents found the orientation helpful in allaying their apprehensions and went back home feeling assured and looking forward to their ward’s journey in the school. It was an overwhelming experience as it marked the commencement of a perennial journey with the new parents.
