Rakshabandhan Celebration:

Rakshabandhan is a very special occasion which strengthens the bond between brother and sister. They express love, care, and joy among themselves. On this day sisters tie Rakhi (a decorative thread) on their brother’s wrist wishing them with long life and good health and in return, the brother pledges to always protect his sister from any harm.
On August 25, 2018, Rakshabandhan was celebrated in G.D Goenka Public School, Lucknow with great enthusiasm in the pre-primary wing. The day started with great excitement when students from various classes performed songs and rhymes dedicated to the bond between a brother and sister.

In the classrooms, all the girls made colorful rakhis for their brothers whereas boys made beautiful cards for their sisters to express their deep emotions and a token of appreciation and love. Some of them spoke about the qualities of their brother and sister, while others expressed their love by doing creative writing.
Each one took home a memory in form of a card or rakhi, an expression of a bond between classmates. The day was filled with the pious feeling of sisterly love and brother’s care.
