School Reopens For Classes IX TO XII Offline Classes Resume after Govt. Directives:-

Amongst speculations and debates on re-opening of schools and loss of studies, eventually the govt. released orders for schools to re-open and in-person classes to start from 07 February 2022 for students of classes IX to XII. The school reopened after a hiatus of almost 45 days and the school campus re-buzzed with the activities of students. This essential exercise of letting students attend in-person classes at school is a step towards normalcy and will help students and teachers to gear up for the upcoming board examinations.

Though the schools were to open for classes IX to XII, as online assessments are already in progress for classes X and XII in our school, their offline classes will start after their completion. Till then the students of classes IX and XI will attend school from today. However, the strength of the students on the first day was not very encouraging and approximately 20% of students attended offline classes. The reasons are the apprehensions of parents as the second dose of vaccine is yet to be administered and secondly, the classes are taking place in both offline and online mode, but the strength is expected to improve soon.

All the preparations are in place to welcome the students to school again. GD Goenka Public School Lucknow has always maintained very high standards of safety and security of students at the campus and post COVID, the school has further extended the measures according to the pandemic protocol. Amid the Corona pandemic, every classroom is sanitized twice regularly (before and after classes), students’ thermal checking on arrival and use of pulse oximeter is among the school’s standard operating procedures. All students and teachers are required to wear masks all the time. Sitting arrangement in classrooms and also the entry and exit of students has been meticulously planned to keep the obligatory social distancing in mind.

The principal, Ms. Raveen Pande, asked the students and the teachers to protect themselves and others by following the safety norms while in school and elsewhere. The management of GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow is taking appropriate measures and ensures no laxity in carrying out the SOP.
