GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow Celebrates Republic Day With True Patriotic Fervour:-
Republic Day of India is celebrated annually on 26 January since 1950. On January 26, 2024, India marked its 75th Republic Day, commemorating the adoption of the Constitution in 1950. It is a day of national rejoicing. It is celebrated all over India to honour and remember the date on which our Indian Constitution came into force. Republic Day was celebrated by Goenkans with full zeal in GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow. The school was decorated with flower pots, buntings and National Flags.
The celebrations began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the school Chairman Mr.Sarvesh Goel. The school Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra was also present during the ceremony and addressed the students. After the flag hoisting, everyone sang the National Anthem – Jana Gana Mana with a proud heart.
Exciting activities were planned for children of all classes. Our tiny tots of Pre-Nursery to KG wore Tricolour dresses and accessories. Students participated in the ‘Show and Tell’ activity where they talked about how to be a good citizen of India. There was also a quiz related to Republic Day. The other cultural activities included patriotic songs, folk dances and speeches.
Grade I students made our national tree – Banyan. Grade II children made our national aquatic animal – Dolphin. Every student proudly carried their national symbol. It was an unforgettable moment for them.
In the senior classes, debates and discussions were held and children were oriented about the significance of this day through PPTs.The students pledged to make their country peaceful and beautiful.
