GD GOENKA LUCKNOW STUDENTS VISIT JIM CORBETT NATIONAL PARK ON A SCHOOL TRIP:-
School trips are not only fun, but they also provide the students a platform where they learn teamwork, sportsmanship and above all, being independent. GD Goenka Public School has always believed in the overall development of the students, and thus, an exciting trip to Jim Corbett National Park and Nainital was organized in collaboration with the ‘Victory Adventures’ for the students of Class VI to XII during the summer break in June 2023.
The journey to Corbett National Park was an exciting one in comfortable air-conditioned coaches. The stay was at a beautiful resort ‘Tiger Groove’ at Ramnagar. During the three days trip, the children enjoyed a trek with ‘Zip-Line’ and ‘Body Surfing’, ‘Survival Trek’ where they were divided into two teams who prepared Maggi for everyone, went on a ‘Sunrise Trek’, and explored the ‘Jungle Safari’ in jeeps. The guides covered the Garziya zone, one of the many zones of the Corbett National Park. The students witnessed a wide variety of both flora and fauna including species of deer, monkeys, birds, insects, rare trees and bushes, along with tigers’ territory marks on the barks of trees and elephants’ trail through the forest.
The students also visited the beautiful city of lakes, Nainital on the last day of the trip, and apart from admiring the scenic beauty; they shopped at the local marketplaces like ‘Bhotia Market’ and ‘Mall Road’.
It was indeed a real-world exposure for the children where they definitely developed stronger bonds, both with their friends and teachers and learned many things through their own experience. It was an immensely enjoyable and fruitful trip for all.
