Skill Class session conducted by Dr. Kaura has been a humbling and a revealing experience. She made us understand that Teaching and educating the young children is no trivial matter and neither should it be considered as child’s play. For primary children, All work is Play and All play is work. Kids learn better through play way activities rather than a formal teaching. She commenced the session through an ice-breaking activity. She encouraged teachers to share their names with their meanings and why they chose to teach as their profession.

She guided us to consider teaching from a child’s perspective and how a teacher’s companionship can prove meaningful to them. We can well imagine the uphill task of a teacher. Thus she suggested ingenious ways of reaching out to the individual learning style of each child, to ensure that none is left behind in the educating process. She conducted a second group activity where she asked teachers to sit in groups and share a few anecdotes from their childhood days.
