Students of GD Goenka Public School Lucknow Visit IIM Lucknow on an Educational Trip:-
GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow organized an educational field trip to IIM Lucknow for Grade 11 and 12 students on 17 October 2024.
The informative session was conducted by Ms Saumya, the coordinator at IIM. She explained various Courses in to be a part of IIM. The students were briefly told about the history of IIM which was followed by an introduction to what the institute’s basic functions are.
It was followed by the tour of the campus where students were shown the LIBRARY, UMANG, SAMANVAY, etc.
It was followed by a presentation by Ms Anju Sharma, GM Executive Education Programmes.
The presentation included introduction, ranking and accreditation, academic programmes, about the faculty and their role in the institute. The lecture emphasized the importance of Management Education, Entrepreneurship and Leadership in various fields. Ms Anju also informed about the facilities available in the campus such as swimming pool, commercial complex, medical facility, etc with huge residential campus.
Prof. Priyanka Sharma, Marketing took over next and explained about various other IIMs in India and how to get in with all career options available. She also spoke about the life stories and struggles of different Indian Industrialists and Entrepreneurs who contributed in the development of Indian economy. The presentation spot lighted upon Mr Mukesh Ambani, Mr Ratan Tata, Mr Rajnikant and many other renowned personalities who are successful in their respective fields. It was motivational for the students to learn about them and plan their future. The presentation and tour was indeed insightful.
The students asked questions during and after the session while taking notes of the topics being discussed. It was an excellent learning experience for the students. The information they gathered would help them with subject understanding as well as their career options they would have in the future. It is the school’s aim to help their students understand concepts of future career opportunities and how to proceed practically, which is achieved through such field trips.
