Students, Teachers Hail Decision on CBSE Exams:-
Students, principals, and teachers have hailed the decision taken by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to cancel the class 10th board examination and postpone class 12 exams following a surge in covid-19 cases.
Javed Alam Khan, the CBSE coordinator for Lucknow and principal of Lucknow Public Collegiate here, said it was a wise decision taken by the union government.
“We have been pondering our it for a long time. It’s the perfect decision keeping in mind the safety of students,” he said.
Principle of Study Hall Meenakshi Bahadur said, “It is a good decision. Parents and students were really worried after a surge in Covid cases recently.”
Nandini Goel, class 12th student of GD Goenka Public School, said, “I am very happy that the government decided the postponed exams as we won’t have to risk our lives and write the paper.”
Arav Tripathi, head boy of GD Goenka Public School said, “I am satisfied that the board has decided to postpone the class 12th examination for the time being. The rising cases of covid-19 pose a threat to the students’ lives and their safety. But at the time same time, there is a delay as to how the board will reschedule the examination date sheet.”
Arnav Gupta, class 12th student of Study Hall, said he was really pleased with the delayed examination as it would give extra time to prepare well for the board, as well as for various competitive examinations.
Sarvesh Goel, chairman of GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, said all the stakeholders, including teachers, management, parents, and students were delighted as the children would live in a safe environment. Nothing is more important than children’s health and their safety, he said. Deepak Agarwal, whose son goes to a CBSE school, is delighted.
