C.B.S.E. Cluster IV Table-tennis Championship:-
GD Goenka Public School Holds C.B.S.E. Cluster IV Table-Tennis Championship 2022-23 At Campus. The cognitive abilities and agility of a child are built in the early years. Keeping this idea in mind and following the guidelines of the New Education Policy, CBSE organizes sports competitions both at the Zonal and National levels in independent categories for all schools across the country. An initiative in this direction is the Cluster level Competitions.
This year for the academic session 2022-23, GD Goenka Public School Lucknow has availed the opportunity of hosting the C.B.S.E. Cluster IV Table-Tennis Championship 2022-23, scheduled from 01 to 03 December 2022. More than 25 schools from different districts of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow are participating in this championship. Prominent schools namely, Army Public School, Bareilly, Army Public School, Mathura, Delhi Public School, Kalyanpur Kanpur, GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, Delhi Public School, Shaheed Path, Lucknow, Jaipuria School, Lucknow, Navyuga Radiance School Rajendra Nagar, Lucknow, Gayatri Public School, Agra, Shri Ram Centennial School, Agra, Aristotle World School, Etawah, Raghuvir Public School, Aligarh, etc., have sent their teams for participation. More than 200 students will compete with each other in different categories. The entire campus was abuzz with excitement and great energy as everyone was enthusiastic to give their best performance.
The Chief Guest of the opening ceremony held today was Mr. Sanjay Sinha, renowned entrepreneur and Director of Ekana Sports City Limited. The event began with the Chief guest accompanied by the School Chairman Mr. Sarvesh Goel and the Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra lighting the lamp. A welcome song ‘SWAGATAM” was presented by the students to welcome all the guests and participants. This was followed by the hoisting of the CBSE flag. Then the sports captains of GD Goenka Public School, Vishal Pandey and Suyanshi Singh were called up on stage to administer the pledge to all the participants assembled. Thereafter the chief guest officially announced the games open. Dr. Sanjay Sinha addressed the august gathering and asked the students to keep alive the spirit of the games, .as it is not only about winning or losing but building true sportsman spirit.
The chairman, Mr. Sarvesh Goel also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of such events in the character building of the students while teaching the core human values. He also said that the best facilities shall be provided to all the team members so that they gain a memorable experience from here.
This was followed by the presentation of a memento to the chief guest followed by a vote of thanks. The Inauguration Ceremony concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
By the end of today’s game, all matches in girls and boys under-14 the category were played and under-17 matches have started.
The championship will conclude on 03 December 2022.
