Teach students how to understand and find answers too: CBSE Secy
CBSE board secretary Anurag Tripathi, on Saturday, advised teachers to teach students how to understand and find answers too. He urged teachers to emphasize how students can use the knowledge they acquire in class. He said this while addressing teachers at GD Goenka Public School Lucknow during a ceremony honouring outstanding students from the school. Chairman of the school, Mr. Sarvesh Goel, and principal Raveen Pande were also present. The prizes and awards were then given away by the chief guest to the outstanding performers in various categories like special achievers and meritorious awards in academics. Around 179 awards were given away along with the best outstanding student award, which went to Hina Naela of Class XII. Hina backed four awards in total, both for academic excellence and co-curricular achievements.
THE CHIEF GUEST EMPHASISED THE CHILDREN’S ALL-ROUND DEVELOPMENT.
The felicitation ceremony was followed by an interactive session between Tripathi and the teachers. The chief guest emphasised the children’s all-around development.
In his address, he appealed to the teachers to implement the NEP in their teaching process and ardently follow Bloom’s Taxonomy, innovate the assessment process and guide the students to learn life skills. The interaction ended with questions put up by the teachers, which were answered by the chief guest.
“The difference between the dreamer’ and ‘the achiever’ is often the possession of one simple quality-persistence, and the ones who pursue their dreams with this quality ultimately achieve what they aspire for,” he said. He asked teachers to be the facilitator of knowledge.
He also addressed the parents and suggested they concentrate more on their child’s mental health. He emphasized the inculcation of moral values, respect, humanity, and sensitivity in today’s youth.
