GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, recently hosted a significant two-day “Training of Trainers” (ToT) certification program organized by CBSE in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM). This event, held in the school’s auditorium, focused on equipping educators with the tools and methodologies required to align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
A total of 73 teachers and principals from various CBSE-affiliated schools participated in this workshop. Esteemed speakers included former CBSE Chairman Ashok Ganguly and COE Prayagraj’s Head, Dr. Akhilesh Kumar, who emphasized the importance of ongoing professional development to meet NEP’s progressive goals. The training sessions provided teachers with insights into innovative educational strategies, classroom management skills, and the necessary framework to improve teaching standards in line with NEP’s objectives.
One of the workshop’s highlights was an interactive session led by Dr. Saurabh Malhotra, who demonstrated modern teaching techniques and strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. His session underscored the need for adopting creative and flexible teaching methodologies to cater to diverse learning needs in the classroom.
