Bingo – From Giggles to Growth: A Journey of Wonder and Discovery

We at GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow believe in the holistic development of our students. Science Exhibition 2024 – Keeping this ideology in mind interactive learning was demonstrated by our enthusiastic students through hands-on activities, science experiments, fun projects, science games, puzzles, science expeditions, role plays, and other innovative pedagogy techniques.
On Thursday, 15 February 2024, a show named ‘Bingo – From Giggles to Growth: A Journey of Wonder and Discovery’was organized by the students of the Pre-Primary section from Nursery to Grade II, which was an amalgamation of various hands-on learning experiences, display of models, live experiments and other various other activities which highlighted their reading and speaking skills. The event was organised in the open-air plaza and the auditorium respectively. Mr. Sarvesh Goel, the Chairman of GD Goenka Public School Lucknow, along with Mrs. Lalita Goel, the COO of the school graced the event as the Chief Guest.
A dedicated reading corner was set up where the students from Nursery to KG confidently read out stories and recited poems and shlokas. Parents were impressed to see such tiny tots reciting the shlokas with such clarity. They also explained the teaching pedagogies like the playway method, and show and tell activities which are used in the class to deliver the lessons and make education fun for them. Students explained the importance of planting trees, afforestation, and deforestation, organized puzzles for the concept of 3R’s. Parents enjoyed solving the puzzle with the help of the students. They also recited beautiful poems which delivered a strong message to save nature.
Students of KG and Grade I performed various experiments and also explained them. They presented praise-worthy models on saving energy, the food pyramid, the life cycle of various animals, water pollution, water cycle, and land pollution. A game corner was set up where games related to mathematical concepts like colour coding, addition, and comparison were played with the parents.
The theme for Grade II was festivals. India being a land of numerous festivals, gave an opportunity to the students to exhibit their talent through recitations, storytelling, role play, puppet shows, and singing related to the festivals celebrated in India.
The Chairman Mr. SarveshGoel and the Principal Dr. PrernaMitra appreciated the efforts of all the students. It was a learning and joyful experience for all.
