Children Travel the World of Books:-

Book fair organised at GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow. Books play a significant role in our life. It is rightly said, ‘When you open a book, you open a new world.’ GD Goenka Public School nurtures and encourages its students to develop a habit of reading books. Keeping this noble aim in mind, a Book Fair was organized on the School premises from 03 to 05 August 2023. The students of all age groups in large numbers, very enthusiastically visited the bookstall and bought books of their choice. A vast variety of books were on display on the stalls.

The response was overwhelming both from the students and parents who had visited the book fair during the parent-teacher meeting. The students enjoyed the fair and picked books varying from science to mysteries; from puzzles to poems; and from fiction to facts. There were fiction, non-fiction, Activity Books, Encyclopedias, biographies, personality development, competitive books, and many more.

The corner which was visited most by the children was the Fiction section. The Reference Books and Encyclopedias were also much sought after.  The whole fair was thronging with children who along with their parents had come to buy books of their interest. Students have done lots of activities such as Book hunts, quizzes, and recognizing famous fictional characters, etc.

Another attraction of the book fair was the ‘Lucky Draw’, and the winners are Sharan Agarwal, class II-B (First Prize), Jiana Jeswani, Class VII C (Second Prize), and Ishanvi Bajpai, Class Nursery A (Third Prize).
