Celebrated ‘Friendship Day’

LITTLE GOENKANS CELEBRATE THE BEAUTIFUL BOND OF FRIENDSHIP ON THE OCCASION OF FRIENDSHIP DAY:

With this thought in mind, GD Goenka Public School Lucknow celebrated ‘Friendship Day’ on 03 August 2024. To celebrate this occasion with great fervour, our Pre-Nursery to Grade II students were engaged in various inclusive activities that encouraged students to come together and celebrate the spirit of friendship. The day was celebrated with great zeal, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie. The day began with a special performance of LKG- A and B tiny tots, further our principal Dr. Prerna Mitra addressed the students about the relevance of the day.

Pre-Nursery children crafted handmade decorative friendship bands, each unique in its design and exchanged them with their friends. The joyous faces and heart-warming exchanges filled the school with an aura of happiness and affection. Kindergarten students made a ‘Friendship Tree’ using their handprints to promote teamwork and create an atmosphere of unity among the students. Furthermore, Upper Kindergarten students participated in a matching picture cards game to find pairs to help the students to build strong friendships and bonds amongst themselves.

In Grade I students collaborated to craft a friendship flower and shared two lines about their friends and Grade II students made a friendship flower pot in groups and spoke two lines about their friends. These activities aimed to enrich the children’s understanding of friendship and celebrate their bonds in a creative and inclusive manner.

This day serves as a beautiful reminder that a bond of friendship is essential for our children.
