Children Celebrated The Bond Of Love And Trust – Rakshabandhan. India’s festivals reflect the country’s rich cultural abundance. Breaking the humdrum of daily routine, these festivals bring with them a wave of excitement, happiness and hope even in the most difficult times.

Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, celebrated the festival with students to make them understand the true essence of this festival and the sacred relation of a brother and a sister.

‘Raksha Bandhan’ or ‘Rakhi’ is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. To commemorate this festival, various activities were organised in the school. The students of grades I and II participated in the ‘Rakhi Making activity’, whereas students from pre-primary classes made cards and made rakhi. Their artisanship was quite fascinating and children thoroughly enjoyed this activity that tickled their creative side. They used decorative threads, stars, mirrors and pearls for making beautiful rakhees. The event was celebrated with full enthusiasm and zeal.
