Children’s Day Celebrations :
Children’s Day is not just a day to let the future generation have its say. It is a day to remember a leader, who, in his quite determined way, laid the foundation to convert a nascent nation into a world power. In India, Children’s Day is celebrated every year on 14th November, on the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He was the first Prime Minister of our country and was often cited as saying that children should always be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow. A special assembly was organized by the teachers of G. D. Goenka Public School to commemorate Bal Divas.
The various events kept the little ones totally engaged throughout the day. The special day culminated with warm words of encouragement and appreciation by the Principal. Each child was treated to a candy and a card as a token of love.
Thus, the students visited the Primary Government School at Ghuswal Kala to celebrate this day. There they interacted with the students, shared stories and jokes with each other. A talent showcase was also organized for these children and many fun activities were also conducted.
