Eid Ul Zuha Celebrated at GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow. India is a great country where people of different religious and faith live together and enjoy the festival of each other. The foundation of this religious harmony is sown in the childhood itself in their schools where children of deserve religious and cultures study and learn about various festivals and rituals attached. Eid ul Zuha is a festival of prayers joy, happiness, and brotherhood. GD Goenka has always believed in celebrating all major festivals. Such celebrations are not just fun-filled activities planned for kids, they also teach them basic habits like sharing and caring.
These merriments encourage students to think and questions about the reasons where celebrate various occasions. Kids are especially interested in the story behind each festival and the significance of celebrating it!. The pre-primary sections of the school celebrated Eid on August 10. Teachers explained the importance and beliefs behind the festival and various rituals attached to it. The student from Nursery to Grade 1 very enthusiastically made Eid greeting cards and beautiful moon sighting headgears. They create beautiful hangings as takeaways for their parents.
The students of grade 2 showcased their talents by drawing a picture depicting the uniqueness of India which is ‘Unity in Diversity’. Some students of Grade 2 presented at dance encouraging everyone to live with love, peace, and harmony celebrating the festivals. Teachers made efforts to foster feelings of oneness and brotherhood among the students so that they can preserve the unity in diversity in every sphere of life.
