Experimental teaching can be defined as a process that includes a procedure carried out to support laid-down assumptions. The procedures entail hands-on activities that engage and motivate students to learn. Keeping this in view, GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow organized experimental activities based on homemade DIY (Do it Yourself) tricks on Monday, 07 August 2023.

Students from little toddlers till grade 2 actively participated in the activity and worked their magical fingers on different homemade creations.

To keep our skin soft and healthy, the students from Toddlers to Nursery made a homemade moisturizer with the help of aloevera gel, rose water, and glycerine.

Sanitizer has found a special place in our lives and acts as a supplement to clean our hands. Students from Kindergarten (KG) made their own homemade sanitizer. With the help of aloevera gel, apple cider vinegar, rose water, and clean water, they prepared a sanitizer and later used it on their hands to sanitize.

Grade 1 students used onion, garlic, and coconut oil to produce healthy hair oil, which helps in hair growth and reduces hair fall.

Perfume is a liquid with a sweet smell that you put on your body to make yourself smell nice. So, in order to smell good, the students from Grade 2 made flower perfume. They placed the flowers in a jar and let them dry for a few days, and the collected moisture was later used as a scent.

Experiments have always helped teach students how to be more observant and inquisitive. These homemade experimental activities provided students with the opportunity to experiment themselves, which helped improve critical thinking by observing outcomes.
