Friendship Day Celebration at GD Goenka Public School Lucknow:-

“A real friend walks in when the rest of the world walks out.”

In tune with the spirit of the occasion, people dedicate the Friendship Day Festival to their best friends. Friendship Day has come to be celebrated in a big way all over the world. Every year, this day is celebrated on the first Sunday of August. Friendship Day was celebrated on 4th August 2023, Friday in our GD Goenka Public School a reminder of the value of friendship in a student’s life and helps in nurturing a more compassionate and harmonious social community. It encourages students to be kind, caring, and supportive friends to each other. Teachers of Pre- Nursery to K.G were shown a tale on “Four Friends” to children and they danced to the song “gummy bear”.

Pre- Nursery students made a friendship band and presented it to their friends to thank their friends for their wonderful presence in their life. Children of the class Nursery made a badge for their friends. K.G. students made a handmade frame and after completing it they presented it to their best friend. Students of Grade I played a game called “Pick your friend” and watched a story of four friends and the teacher asked them about the moral of the story. Students of Grade II were given the worksheet and they wrote qualities of their best friend on that.

Having a best friend is not just about a person, they are the extension of our soul. They are priceless gems and teach us the true essence of friendship with selflessness, kindness, and care.
