Good Body and Mind Yoga:

Keeping oneself fit is the urgent need of the hour. Thus to raise awareness towards a good body and mind a Yoga session was held at G.D.Goenka Public School on the 25th of February 2018. The students of classes VI to VII actively participated in the same.

Yoga:

Mr. Shashank Srivastava (Manager Soham Yog) began the session with an inspiring story of Guru Dronacharya which was followed by different asanas demonstrated by the Yoga Instructor Mr. Rajeev. He also apprised the children the benefits of the asanas. He further added that Yoga not only increases the flexibility but also improves respiration, strengthens and tones the muscles. The children practiced the asana along with the instructors and trainers and tried their best to strike the correct pose. It was emphasized that regular practice of Yoga will lead to a disciplined and happier life further it will also reduce anxiety, increase tolerance and mindfulness.
The session helped the children to realize how Yoga helps to strengthen our body, calm our mind, regain our focus and improve self-confidence. They promised to be the regular practitioners of Yoga and also spread awareness so that people lead a happier and healthier life. The yoga trainers, Mr. Anil Yadav, and Mrs. Akansha Tiwari were also present to help children with the different postures of the asanas.
