Inter House Competition at GD Goenka Public School Lucknow:

SHARK TANK – MAY THE BEST IDEA WIN

 

GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow conducted an inter-house ‘SHARK TANK’ competition on 28th August 2024 in the school auditorium. The competition, modeled after the popular TV show, provided a platform for students to pitch their innovative business ideas to a panel of judges and gain valuable insights into the world of entrepreneurship.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students of classes XI and XII, with all the four teams presenting a diverse range of business ideas. From tech-driven solutions to eco-friendly products, the creativity on display was truly remarkable. The competition highlighted not only the students’ ability to think outside the box but also their understanding of real-world problems and market needs.

The event started firstly from Radhakrishnan House as it introduced its concept and planning related to natural calamities such as earthquakes and initiated its plan by collaborating with government projects, schemes, and infrastructural development which comes from the sole authority to help and develop society with a self-healing mixture.

Next was Tagore House initiating product for pets’ safety and owners’ peace of mind. The product description revolved around the idea of innovation and sustainable help towards safety and health, in addition to mentioning various new-dated technological features plus providing a view about their sales and source of revenue.

Teresa House presented their innovative product with various factors such as detailed statistics of features and functionality, competitor analysis, and user journey.

Vivekanand House presented a bold and accessible product and plan towards society’s safety and mainly about child safety. Their product provides security with a wide range of features responding to emergencies and signals of distress, additionally focusing on geographical location for their product.

After pitch presentations, followed Q&A round with sharks and the audience which was very interactive and logical. After much discussion amongst the judges, Vivekanand House was declared the winner, followed by Radhakrishnan and Tagore House.

Prize for most innovative idea was given to Radhakrishnan House. Best responses award was bagged by Vivekanand House.

Well, each team had brought their best to the table with an amazing level of creativity and entrepreneurial skills. The Shark Tank competition was more than just a contest; it was an educational experience that equipped students with essential skills such as critical thinking, teamwork and public speaking. The event was a huge success.
