“An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind.”
– Mahatma Gandhi
As a part of this endeavor, we strive for peace all the time. The students were shown an educational video the focus of which was respect, kindness, teamwork, and equality. The teachers also explained the negative forces in life which lead to unhappiness and conflict – anger, selfishness, bullying, and disrespect. Classroom discussions were held wherein the children enthusiastically presented their thoughts on peace. Questions were asked, ‘What does Peace mean to you?’, ‘How will you live every day peacefully?’ and ‘What will you do so that everyone lives peacefully in a society?’ The student’s colored different symbols of peace and mankind depicting how non-violence and a forgiving nature can build a beautiful relationship and a healthy environment.
