International Tiger’s Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at GD Goenka Public School
GD Goenka Public School in Lucknow, celebrated for its excellence and known as the best CBSE school in Lucknow, marked International Tiger’s Day with a series of educational and engaging activities aimed at raising awareness about tiger conservation.
The event featured a special assembly for pre-primary children and educational sessions for students up to Grade II. The children participated in an assortment of activities designed to teach them about the importance of tigers in our ecosystem, their habitats, physical characteristics, and the critical role they play in the environment.
Young students in UKG crafted tiger-themed creations using paper mache, fostering creativity while reinforcing the theme of tiger conservation. The students from Toddlers to Grade II also participated in a hands-on activity where they assembled collages of tiger using torn pieces of colored paper. Additionally, older students engaged in role-playing exercises, where they assumed the roles of tigers, forest rangers, poachers, and environmentalists, helping them understand different perspectives related to wildlife conservation.
These activities were designed not only to educate the students about the pressing issues facing tigers but also to instill a sense of responsibility and advocacy for wildlife preservation.
