NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY CELEBRATED AT GD GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL:-
National Education Day was celebrated in Best CBSE GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow on 11 November 2021. The observance of the National Education Day is in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a great educationist, for his contribution to the cause of education in India. One of the interesting facts about Maulana Azad is that even though he did not receive formal schooling, he was well versed in Urdu, Persian, Arabic, and Hindi. This endeavour aimed at creating awareness among the students on the importance of literacy and education for the well-being of society.
A plethora of activities was conducted class-wise in the school to make students aware of the importance of education in our lives. The students participated with great enthusiasm and zeal in the following activities.
In class V, students were told about the contribution of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad as a freedom fighter, after which, they prepared a collage of his achievements.
In the Class, VI-VIII segment students prepared a video on his life and achievements as an educationist by enacting in it.
Our class IX students made beautiful posters on the topic ‘Importance of Education‘.
Classes X and XII students had debates on the topic ‘Is Prevalent Education System Fulfilling Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s Commitment towards Building a `Sakshar Bharat?’
Thus, the day was celebrated by organizing various activities like collage making, video making, Debate, and poster making for different classes. The students participated with great enthusiasm and zeal in all the activities. All these activities highlighted the importance of education and the motto of Sakshar Bharat. Students and teachers came together to talk about the importance of literacy and the nation’s commitment to all aspects of education. Overall, it was an enriching and learning experience for the students.
