Nimble Finger Craft Activity Organised at GD Goenka Public School Lucknow:-

Nimble Finger Craft Activity was conducted on 05 December 2022, in GD Goenka Public School Lucknow, to make minds nimble and thoughts alive and open. Nimble Finger naturally cheers and activates our minds. The small children grasp the world through their fingers and in doing so they discover the world. It achieves the aim of both an artistic and a utilitarian. In the Nimble Finger activity stress is laid on the development of finger skills.

A series of activities were planned for the students. Toddler and Pre-Nursery children tied the macaroni to the string and made necklaces through threading activity with their tiny little hands for their teachers and it gradually supported the development of motor control and eye-hand coordination.  Nursery children made a Pinwheel with origami paper. They used child-safe scissors to cut the paper to improve their attention to task and bilateral coordination. Kindergarten children weaved paper mats and used them in their daily routine in the cafeteria.  Grade 1 children made a finger puppet with paper and they narrated a story and recited a poem of their choice. Grade 2 children made a Sock Puppet by using old socks, google eyes, and wool.

The main aim of the activity was to make the children master eye-hand coordination and balance to climb and walk confidently towards their goal.
