Teachers’ Training Workshop:-
CBSE capacity building teachers’ training workshop on NEP 2020 & NCF 2023 conducted at GD Goenka School Lucknow. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023 have ushered in significant reforms in the Indian education system, emphasizing holistic development and a shift towards competency-based learning. To effectively implement these reforms, it is imperative to provide teachers with comprehensive training. A Capacity Building Teachers Training Workshop was held on 23 September 2023, at GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow under the aegis of Lucknow Sahodaya Schools’ Complex. The primary focus is Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), Classroom Management, and Experiential Learning.
The workshop was conducted at two levels, for primary school and middle school, and was attended by more than 150 teachers from 24 schools. Many principals of the CBSE Sahodaya Schools were also present during the workshop.
The course focused on introducing all essential aspects of Experiential Learning, enabling the teachers to create a mindset to use experiential learning skills to solve general design-related day–to–day problems. The Resource Person Ms. Shweta Khanna is a senior academic and business professional, with more than 23 years of experience in the field of education and has worked with all vertices in Education starting from University, K12 to ECCE and with corporates. She is a certified CBSE Master Trainer and has worked with 1000 plus schools pan India. She enlightened everyone about the need for techniques of Experiential Learning. It aims at learning through experience and is defined as “learning through reflection and doing”.
The Workshop covered the following topics:
- What is experiential learning?
- How is it a part of Active learning?
- How can this type of teaching benefit students at all levels?
The workshop was informative and educative and enlightened the teachers on many aspects of experiential learning and classroom management.
The school’s principal, Dr. Prerna Mitra, appreciated the resource person’s efforts, Ms. Shweta Khanna, and thanked her for conducting such an enriching training session. On this occasion, the Chairman of the school Mr. Sarvesh Goel felicitated the resource person and also handed over the certificates to all the participating teachers.
