WORLD ANIMAL WELFARE DAY:-

“World Animal Welfare Day” “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened”. To acknowledge the importance of animals and wildlife, It was blithely celebrated in G.D.Goenka Public School by the Goenkans. The show and tell activity was organised for the tiny-tots of Nursery and Pre-Nursery in which they were asked to speak about their pet or any animal of their choice by showing a picture of the same. The primary objective of this activity was to inculcate humanity and awareness among the students so that they get a chance to understand and realize the role played by animals in the ecosystem.

October 4 marks World Animal Welfare Day, which aims to raise awareness about the welfare of animals around the world.

Little stars of Kindergarten readily participated in the JAM session and explained the ways of taking care of pets. Being part of this activity the students got familiar with the emotional aspects of the pets whom they treat like their best friends. Students learned that even pets need care, love, and pampering. They need human attention, even animals get emotionally hurt if ignored. The students of Grade I and II described the methods through which they can contribute to society to save animals. Students also showed their pets to their friends and teachers and shared their views on how they take care of their pets and why the pet animal is so important in their lives. On the other hand, the Little Goenkans didn’t miss the chance of showcasing their artistic skills in the “Poster making activity”

In the end, students realized that how lovely animals can be and how lucky we humans are to live with them under the same sky.
