‘GD GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL OBSERVED WORLD OZONE DAY’:-
Every year September 16th is we celebrate ‘WORLD OZONE DAY’. The main aim is to remind the world about the depletion of the ozone layer and its danger. The ozone layer of the Earth protects us from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. Unfortunately, our race for maintaining a high quality of life has led to its depletion.
The aim to spread the awareness among the students an activity was organized by ‘Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board’ and the teachers of the Best CBSE GD Goenka Public School wherein students were made aware on certain topics like Ozone Depletion Substance, Reason for Ozone Depletion, Impact Of Ozone Depletion, Effects on Human Health, Effects On Marine Ecosystem, Effects On Biogeochemical Cycles and steps Against Ozone Depletion and prevention Of Ozone Depletion.
On 1st January 1989, the Montreal protocol came into force to stop the depletion and reduce the usage of substances that cause holes in our protective blanket. Sustaining the Ozone layer is hence the collective responsibility of all the nations. Let’s join hands to preserve life on this planet by protecting Ozone Shield with this oath to Protect Ozone Layer and Save Earth on World Ozone Day the activity ended on an informative note.
