International Peace Day:

International Peace Day was celebrated at the Gd Goenka Public School Lucknow. There were many kinds of activities fun-filled by the little Goenkan. A peace song was played in all classrooms. Children were motivated to shake a hand, help each other, dance and have fun together. Many Kinds of activities was held for all class.

The International Day of Peace (“Peace Day”) is observed around the world each year on 21 September. Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.

It is dedicated to world peace, and specifically the absence of war and violence, such as might be occasioned by a temporary ceasefire in a combat zone for humanitarian aid access. The day was first celebrated in 1982 and is kept by many nations, political groups, military groups, and people. In 2013 the day was dedicated by the Secretary-General of the United Nations to peace education, the key preventive means to reduce war sustainably
